Plough Angling Club Annual Presentation Evening & BBQ 2025/26

A fantastic evening was had at the Plough Angling Club Annual Presentation Evening and BBQ, bringing members together to celebrate another successful season, recognise our trophy winners and, most importantly, enjoy a good evening in great company.

A huge thank you must go to Danny Dance for running the PAC match season throughout the year. The amount of time and effort Danny puts into organising our matches is tremendous and his dedication to the Club is unmatched. It simply wouldn’t happen without him.

We would also like to thank Jim Pike for taking care of the engraving of all our trophies — and, perhaps just as importantly, managing not to screw up any of the spelling! A job well done, Jim!

Congratulations to all of our 2025/26 trophy winners. There were some excellent performances throughout the season and it was great to see everyone receiving their well-earned awards.

Another big thank you goes to everyone who donated prizes to the raffle. Your generosity helped make the evening even more enjoyable and is very much appreciated by the Club.

Finally, our thanks go to Sue and Carl at the Royal British Legion, Hanney, for hosting us and looking after everyone so well. The BBQ spread was excellent, followed by a fantastic dessert, and their hospitality helped make the evening a real success.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came along. It was great to see so many members together away from the bankside, celebrating the season and enjoying each other’s company.

Congratulations again to all our trophy winners, and here’s to another great season for Plough Angling Club!
