River Thames at Newbridge
On the Thames at Newbridge, three fields upstream of the Maybush Pub. This is classic Thames fishing offering most species with good Chub, Bream, the occasional Barbel and Carp making an appearance. Roach, Dace and Perch are obviously present as well.
This stretch of the Thames has produced good bags of fish when used in the Thames Championships.
Day tickets are available on the bank throughout the year. These can only be issued to those holding a valid EA Rod License. Abbreviated Rules are printed on the Day Ticket.
Parking
Parking is available at the following locations:
- Opposite The Maybush pub (What3Words: schematic.appendix.stubbed)
- Behind The Rose Revived pub (What3Words: spreading.gems.final)
Members must not drive through Newbridge Farm or park in Field 1.
Members and visitors should use the designated parking areas listed above when fishing Newbridge.
Important: Access to the river remains on foot only from the designated parking areas. Failure to comply with the Landowner’s requirements may jeopardise the Club’s future access to this stretch of the River Thames.

Plough Pond
A Private pond of about one acre in size. This is a members only pond. Stocked over the past few years with Carp, Bream, Tench, Chub and Crucians, as well as the usual Roach, Rudd, Perch etc. This is a stream fed water which means the levels are maintained throughout the year. All stocked fish were of a size deemed to be cormorant proof. This pond has no public access, and is not in sight of a road so is a quiet haven for the club members. With twenty maintained pegs it provides excellent sport.
Members are permitted to take guests by prior appointment.
The pond is closed between the beginning of November to the beginning of February at the request of the landowner.
